"I have been richly blessed through what Habitat has, and is still, doing for me and my boys." -Tammy
Tammy's home was in dire need of repair. She had no functioning toilets, her home needed to be cleaned, and her yard was in disarray. Being a cancer survivor and a single mother of two children on the autism spectrum, Tammy reached out to Catoosa Habitat for help. Understanding her need for help and the scope of the projects Catoosa Habitat sent a call out to the community for volunteers to help Tammy. The call was answered by over thirty volunteers who cleaned up her yard and home. Not only that but Tammy's family also had a new toilet installed and work done on the floor of the bathroom to make it more stable. In a letter to the Habitat Board Tammy expressed her gratitude to all the help she received and thanked God for all the volunteers, all of them strangers, who came out to help a neighbor in need.
